Linda McDonald — TULA Light

Linda McDonald is an author, certified spiritual life coach, medium, and modern mystic whose work lives at the intersection of story and spirit. For more than twenty years she has guided seekers through transformation — first as an occupational therapist with a Master's in Organizational Development and Psychology, then as a coach, and always as a writer who believes that the most powerful truths arrive wrapped in story.

She is the founder of TULA Light Press and the voice behind The Heartlight Letters on Substack, where weekly story-driven reflections invite readers into a more spirit-led, love-centered life. Her books span mystical fiction, modern parables, civic awakening, and compassion-based guides for parents and children — including The Lightkeeper Chronicles fantasy trilogy, The Whispers of Light series, and The Way Forward four-book series. She has published more than a hundred essays and articles on Medium, and her YouTube channel, Mystic Citizen, carries her voice into conversations about spirit, citizenship, and what it means to live awake.

At the heart of Linda's work is what she calls the Heartlight Way — a framework rooted in the belief that love, kindness, and justice are not ideals to aspire to but practices to live, one ordinary day at a time. Much of the wisdom woven through her writing comes through her work as a channel for the Angel Galactic Council, a source she has come to trust deeply over years of quiet, attentive listening.

And quiet is something Linda knows how to inhabit. A lifelong New Englander, she cannot imagine a life without four distinct seasons and has no intention of finding out. She lives in western Massachusetts with her wife Dale, in the rhythm of a life she describes as beautifully ordinary — tending her garden, putting up preserves, caring for her home, and making time for family. She meditates not on a cushion but through writing, canning, and the particular peace of hands in dirt. A former night owl, she now rises with the sun and considers it one of the finer discoveries of her later years.

Her household includes two beloved animals who have made themselves indispensable. Arya, her Schnauzer, came to her through one of those quietly miraculous moments — a former patient overwhelmed by six dogs, a small dog who simply latched on and decided the matter herself. Linda will tell you she has never adored a creature more. Then there is Katrina, a beautiful calico adopted in 2025, who has taken to joining Linda's channeling sessions with what can only be described as enthusiastic participation — offering, in equal measure, wisdom, warmth, and opinions.

Linda's reading life is as layered as her writing: science fiction, fantasy, biography, murder mystery, and any story that features a dog. She typically has several books in motion at once — audio in the car, something light on the digital reader at bedtime, and print books scattered around the house, waiting for the right moment to call her back.

She extends to every reader the same invitation the angels have extended to her:

Come curious. Stay open. Choose love.
